Owen Wilson at his absolute worst. It's supposed to be a comedy, but it fails to bring even a hint of a smile to your face in the first 30 mins (at which point it got ejected by unanimous decision, and replaced by "Lions for Lambs" DVD, which is excellent!).
Darjeeling Limited - Wasted time and rental.

I laughed heartily in the first two minutes, when he was legging it for the train with Bill Murray.

if you have seen wes andersons previous films and liked them then you would like / enjoy/ understand darjeerling limited....its not as good as the royal tenenbaums but its still enoyable and possibly more so for those who have been to india and may enjoy some of the small quirky jokes

I stand corrected, the train-chase scene was mildly amusing...

I sit through his films waiting for something of interest or significance to happen. I leave the cinema waiting for something of interest or significance to happen.
It just seems like self-indulgent complacency. No doubt there's a clique of The Great Man's friends somewhere giggling incontinently over the creases in a tracksuit or the intonation of a sigh.
In defence of his films, fans can only ever say, 'Well, you clearly just can't understand the magnificent greatness at work; perhaps they're too subtle for you.'
Too subtle, probably. Like the stories they print on the backs of postage stamps.
"If I had a horse, I'd horsewhip you."

It would have been a lot better had it starred Bob Wilson, Elton Welsby and Jim Rosenthal - with Steve Rider in the Bill Murray cameo

And perhaps Gerald Sinstadt with his face browned up as the guard?

Ah, this is looking good. Now you've mentioned that I reckon we might manage a new series of It Ain't Half Hot Mum, with Richard Keys in the Michael Bates Ranji role.
