So it looks like big Boris has won the first round votes, so they need to recound the second preference votes.
What a bad result, the guy is a nutter and to top it off, he does not come from london or understand whats there. He even admitted he did not really want the job, whats the fooking point.

So he has actually beaten Red Ken by just over 140,000 votes, what a few years London is now in for, glad I don't live there any more.

Not quite sure thats the case, could also have a lot to do with the global climate and the way certain things have gone over the last few months.
Take the 10p tax for instance, the conservatives agreed with it and even voted for it. Now they say its not a good idea, but they have yet to state what they would do to fix it. Likewise, the Lib dems did not vote for it, but they also have not stated what should be done to fix it.
Then you get the mileage that the conservatives got out of the personal details being "lost in the post", you cannot really lay that at the feet of the gov. I even watched a conservative MP saying exactly that, but they used it.
I think both opposition parties need to actually come up with some policy instead of just dumping on what everyone else is doing wrong.
Sometimes its better the devil you know.

Boris has come along at a time of extreme lows from the labour party. He has waaay more personality than Ken, and is not the baffoon he portrays himself as. Theres a good chance he will do a good , if not better, job. Living in HK and not in the UK, its the fact that someone else actually does have a democratically voted chance to have a shot that I like, not the pretend disney sunshine variety of government that we have here. Much as I would hate to see a Conservative goct in the UK, I can't think of anyone worse to lead the country than GB right now.

if he takes on the tax deficit the same way as he tackles the Germans, there is hope I'd say

It's hard hitting and across two legs. No, it's not Craig Bellamy's golf club, it's the champions league semi-finals

Boris is a buffoon, albeit a charming one. It'll be interesting to see whether he repeals initiatives such as road pricing, which have had a very positive effect, though are unpopular with the 4x4 driving urban cowboy voter types.

Boris is an inbred mongrel and has the charm of a retard. He has done nothing for British politics except to confirm our belief that they are all a bunch of morons.

Why would he do that? As idiotic as you seem to think he is, I don't think hes kamikaze enough to make such a blatant display of keeping his rich pals happy. Lets see if he can get london transport costs down and quality up, as Ken promised once.
