I was reading bus aunty and thinking how her tosh was just grinding me down. Then it hit me. The Grinder. bus aunty = Cliff Thorburn. Dreadful to watch, and a bit slow, but tough as old boots and would hang in for a result until the bitter end.
AKA would obviously be jovial Irishman Dennis Taylor (or substitute 'mercurial' and 'Alex Higgins' in the previous sentence). I'd see beer guy as a sozzled Bill Werbeniuk figure. The most pedantic snooker player I can think of is probably Terry Griffiths, who would ask the ref to unspot and clean a ball up to seven times. So, though a little lush on the hair front, and Welsh, he would have to be smog. I reckon due to his Manchester connections BB would like to be Brian TilsleyKirk Stevens, and Mr B would have to be John Virgo, for his hilarious comedy set pieces.
So, who else?
