Furniture for sale

because we need to move out of our nice appartement in Wanchai we need to sell all our furniture latest at the end of june. If you are in need of some furniture (mostly bought at Ikea) like: beds, matrasses (single and double bed), closets, shelfs, wardrobes, sideboards, sofas, armchairs, side tables, kitchen accessories, chairs and tables (bar table) just contact us.

We also have a quite new refrigerator to sell (one year old).

The whole furniture is one year old and kept in good-kondition. It will be sold for a very small price. If you are interested, please contact us and we can send you some further pictures or you just come around to have a look at all the stuff we have. Prices are negotiable

If you are feeling charitable then Crossroads would, I am sure, be happy to receive it.

In principle they will if you have stuff that's high on their needed list, and it isn't always immediate. They also have a preferred "man with van" company who will pick up and deliver stuff for you, but you do need to pay for that (from wherever you are to Gold Coast, I seem to remember it costing me about $150 to send some stuff from mid-levels). Having said that, simply getting rid of large furniture can be a pain in many properties, so I have no problem paying a small amount to get it to a good cause. Have a wander over their website - it covers all of this.

They do pick up but it can take a while for them to get to you.. sometimes a month so have to plan ahead with them

A friend of mine who has moved house recently sold a lot of items on ebay. He managed to get rid of all his unwanted furniture quickly and painlessly. He even managed to sell a 20 year old desk for more than what he paid!

My only hesistation is the ikea stuff...they can't be worth very much second hand since they are so naff.

Perhaps I should flog my stuff on e-Bay and donate the proceeds to Crossroads or Oxfam or somesuch. I'd like to minimise the hassle, but I am 'feeling charitable'.

IKEA s**te isn't worth feck all when it's new so when second hand you may find even trainee arsonists turn the stuff away.

I still smile when I think of your 'toilet' joke. I know, you're thinking: which one! Aren't we all going to have a farewell party for u like we did for aussie?

Yes, exactly. Which one?

Haven't quite figured out when I'll be gone yet, let alone a leaving do. Anyway, I'll be back enough on business and have my PR so doubt I'll be gone forever.
