It's been a while since we had a thread on this, so where is the best pizza in Hong Kong, for both crust and quality of toppings. Is there anywhere with a wood fired oven?

Pizza Express, Pepperonis and Cul-de-sac are edible.

Pizza Express is my favourite. I cannot really concur about Pepperoni's though. Cul de Sac pepperoni is pretty good post 12 hour session stodge.
Anywhere for great Italian style pizze?

Apparently the apartments at The Palazzo all come with wood fire ovens to enhance that 'lving in Italy' feeling.

The pizza place on the top floor of the building opposite pizza express is fantastic (can't remember the name of it atm but will search). They have a nice terrace as well.

Pizza Milano?
Apparently they are changing its name soon to Pizza Palazzo, to better reflect the authentic Italian cuisine and Tuscan-style setting on Via Lyndhurstio.

Cafe O is cheap and cheerful but i'm boycotting it for having thrown out one of my favourite restaurants, Casa Nostra on Caine Road. It was a beautiful little restaurant with good food, clean cutlery and a terrace. I loved their staff.

Can I just say that I've eaten at a lot of pizza places but they all seem to be of OK quality in HK.
The only pizza I had which was proper Italian style, as in extremely thin and crispy with proper mozzerela and quality mushrooms was in Tivo, which isn't a reastaurant as you know but does have food.
I paid 180 something for a medium sized mushroom pizza but it was quality. Since then I've been trying to make my own pizza at home for a fraction of the cost at quite some success. Making the dough takes 10 mins but you have to leave it to sit for a while. Roll it out really thin, tomoto past + sundried tomotoes from a jar and whetever toppings you want. Cooks in 10 mins. You will never go out for pizza again.
Sabrina, don't just stare at it. Eat it.

I so agree with you! I was horrified when I saw it was being replaced with cafe o (as if people couldn't walk the 3mn it takes to the cafe o just up from dragon i). It really is a shame.

Can you give me your recipe? I never seem to be able to get it right! Thanks!
