I'm sorry I had to post this here... I can't click on the chit-chat thingy... nor the fixing.

Anyways, what I wanted to say was that I was trying to locate a friend of mine and found her daughter in this database I found and at first appearance, it claims to be free of charge. Then when I sign up, in order to contact her, I am told I have to pay or give them a total of 24 emails.

Tsk.. so annoying.

You mean give them 24 email addresses? Can't you just write email1@yahoo.com to email24@yahoo.com?

Who in their right mind would not want a paid day off?

And not all of us are afflicted with an over-developed (and misplaced) sense of responsibility to help make the rich richer. When you take into consideration the scores of unpaid hours of overtime we all put in, I think half a day off because of a bit of rain is small recompense.

Besides, the bosses make sure we work twice as hard for twice as long to make up for the "holiday".

I don't do any overtime, I get 20 days holiday, and frankly a no-notice 4 hours off at home isn't exactly enable me to do anything much except laze around. If I come to the office I can get my breakfast and coffee and do the same faffing about online as I would have done at home, so why not?

Clearly, your situation is far more fortunate than of many other people.

Some of us are still young and enjoy the extra few hours of sleep.

So how does one link one's alarm clock to the #8 signal coming down?

Tell the old f**kers who actually went to work to give us a call when it downgrades.

I don't quite see how this is an age thing - I am the oldest of the 4 who came in to our office. Two are under 30.

I'm just messing with you man.. it has nothing to do with age. I'm just a lazy f**k and I enjoy sleeping in whenever possible.
