I watched it this weekend...good flick, I'm not a huge Star Wars fan, but I really enjoyed it. Much better than the other 2. I also watched A New Hope last night on Pearl...it was like watching it all over again...it was really cool having the full background story going into it.

I and II weren't that bad, were they? But III is the climax, right? Finally, we see why Anakin goes over to the dark side!!

Yes it is definitely worth seeing. I gave it 8.5/10, and that was probably a bit mean, should have been 9. However, I am finding it hard to shake off my anti-Hollywood thing at the moment.
The high rating is for the fact that he has succeeded in creating a believable, watchable, story about another world, perhaps a future of our own of course, with exceptional graphics and artistry.
The acting in parts is a little bad, which is a bit disappointing. Ewan Macgregor is excellent, others are believable to a point, but Anakin and Queen Armidala do a s*&tty acting job in this film. Annoying characters like Jar Jar don't get lines, and C3po's camp banter is back to sensible a la Episode 4 (it was way over done in Episode 2, who the hell wrote that script).
The views of the cities, spaceships and landscapes are brilliant.

agree with most of the above...however Lucas has allowed far too many "errors" if you follow this logically to the next films...
including Yoda to bring up training Obi Wan and the mention of Qui Gonn... who knows if it ever takes place
Darth and the emperor looking out over the Death Star at the end of the film... it looks about 40% built... how the hell did it take a further twenty years and half a film for the death Star to become "A fully operational battle station"???

Obi wan in episode 4 says he never remembers owning a droid... did he have his mind wiped in between Eps 3 & 4???? Just like C3PO????

I get bored yesterday window shopping in Admiralty...then I found myself queueing in the cinema(can't believe its so busy..[|)])...but the showing on that time was Star Wars 3...well I have to admit that its my first time to see, havent have any idea what is all about...but when the movie begin I liked it..though I slept in the halfway through...but still I can say that its quite nice...nice effects....etc..etc...but I am really not happy at the end...just like that???Padme is dead....she got twins...and its finish..I dont like the ending...(but I can say in someway it entertains me...dont include the thing that I fall asleep...lol..[|)])
But will be looking forward to Star Wars 4- maybe next year???lol[:X]

Chubby - I don't think that it was the pregnancy that made you sleep. I found that I was actually bored - checked my watch several times through the movie and found myself thinking "I could be ..... I could be....". Star Wars 3 - one word BORING!

I say the only good bits of the movie were the begging star fight thing, the lava light saber fight scene and the darth fader transformation... It rate it 9/10

Agree,re Star Wars 3 I was disappointed overall and wandered around the flat doing chores while it was on .. dead giveaway of boredom..thought it might have lost impact on small screen (one of 'those'Shenzhen dvds.y'know)but usually enjoy anything 'good' regardless of medium..
