So Platini - the so called 'impartial' UEFA president - has publicly come out and backed Real Madrid's pursuit of Ronaldo.
Impartial my arse. Guy is a disgrace, but then again he's French so i guess we should be surprised.
There appears to be so much jealousy and envy in the corridors of power in European football at the supremacy of the EPL and the success of British clubs in Europe.

As Stoke have just got into the Prem after years of being out of the top flight of English football (Holocaust season of '84-'85) I firmly expect the EPL to implode within the next season or so. Because that would be typical Stoke. A few years ago many teams suffered cos of the collapse of the ITV Digital monies and I just get a nagging feeling things will go tits up for footie again shortly.

Such racist comment that huh.
If I just said anything like that about Brits (I actually once made some slightly negative joke about them and got given hard time from the British fellas) or others making fun of the Filipinas, and we would get completely barked at.

Platini has some eccentric ideas to say the least, but I'm not convinced he's prone to bashing Anglo Saxons any more than he is towards talking sh!t on any subject.
