HSBC 0005 now 120.
In this case, what else we can do?

For 0005 I'd say that go and buy it, enjoy the dividends and don't care about the rollercoaster of the share price afterwards, start worrying only if the dividends stop coming in.

Not according to her, maskman. By her own account she scores frequently with men of all colors and creeds

If i've cash on hand I'll buy in.

Each 400 share cost you HK$48,000. Except the up/down (i would say expected growth) on the share price, it gives you approx HK$1,100 interest every quarter.

Actually, better return than rent apt out. to buy a 1.5m apt, you wont able to have $10k rent coming back. Lower risk, high liquidality, simple.

...... but no cash ......................................

HSBC gives 10% dividends?

let say each 400 share cost HK48,000, each quarter HK$1.100 interest.

Therefore, to buy 12,000 share will cost $1,440,000 (base on $120 mkt price). that's means each quater has $33,000 interest. Each month will be $11,000.

I think it should be calculate like this. I got $1,100 interest for 400 share.

At $120 the dividend yield on HSBC is a shade under 6%.
