Was in Stanley the other day and saw a massive queue for the escalator going down from the top of stanley plaza.
As I got closer I saw that there were about 5 or 6 middle-aged mainland woman who was too scared to get on the escalator and had to be helped on by others. It must have been their fist time cos it took each of them over a minute to pluck up the courage to negotiate the first step.
twas a rare and amusing sight I tell you.......
Sabrina, don't just stare at it. Eat it.

Steps can be a bad thing - a few weeks ago I was in The Terrace in Shekou (the China one...) and this was at about 3am after a night on the JD and the coke and the vodka and the lager and the fags n such. I managed to get from the door of the club to the bar and only slightly stumbled down the single step to the bar - but once I'd bought my drink I could only get one foot (the right) onto the step and try as I might I couldn't get the left to take the risk and to try to get up that 4" step and join it's mate right foot. I managed to find a rail to hold onto to but that was actually a shelf thing with peoples beers an' stuff on.
I went home later and slept very well. With my boots on.
Average by Intention.

Did you wake up wondering *why* your boots were still on?

I knew why my boots were on - I recall standing at the foot of the bed and looking at my feet and wondering why they didn't work very well. I tried to remember how to take boots off and for a while I thought you had to bend down whilst standing up and grab your boots. But as my feet were in them they wouldn't come off that way and then I remembered you have to lift your foot off the floor first and then I fell on the bed and I thought 'f**k it it's too much like hard work let's deal with that in the morning'.
Average by Intention.
