Nice to see the government is s**t scared of one bloke who believes in free speech. Won't even let him go to Sichuan in case he causes the govt 'embarrassment' - if it helps I can assure them that they certainly don't need any help when it comes to being an embarrassment. They manage very well by themselves.
There is of course a good deal of worry from the US and Japan an' such about China becoming a major world power and strengthening it's military - no worries folks - just wear a Che Guevara tee shirt and wait for the cowering to begin.

so far nobody bothers me in the airport due to my long hair.

yup.....worked with the locals many years and have many contacts there that don't like the direction the gov is taking....just look at the record number of protests.........these will increase as the olympics draw nearer........
