Trat is near Koh Chang. Trang is South of Krabi province.
Haven't been but the Amari Trang resort is highly recommended on www.asiahotels.com. You can find it in the "other Thailand" section.
I've used the website for bookings before and they're pretty good.

Ooops.. I'm sorry. I guess it is time for glasses. But as Abbas mentioned the Amari, you might want to check it out. We stayed at the Amari Emerald in Koh Chang, and the food was excellent, the service was amazing (and I mean amazing), and the hotel nice. They also have no problems shaking up management if they are not at a level they feel they should be.
