I'm moving to HK in January for two years and am looking for a flat or share flat in Shatin/KCR East Line area within commuting distance of Chinese University HK . Found some useful apartment websites on this forum - thanks! GoHome site (http://www.gohome.com.hk/english/) is useful. Can anyone recommend others? Where's the best place to look for share flats?

I found almost nothing via the web when I moved here. I relied completely on our consultant in the end.
can you read Mandarin/Cantonese? If so, there's a few sites, but the prices are always inflated and the information almost always outdated... thats what I found at least.

Go Home is interesting to read through but again a lot of the flats appearing on it are no longer available. In the end, I just visited agencies and did the legwork.

The point to bear in mind is that most agencies are not allowed to list properties where they have not been nominated by the landlord - so in fact most of the listings are for places that the agency is not actually authorised to advertise.
