depends on the quality of the elevators of both blocks. "Ne Gelukkige", btw.

the elevators have nothing to do with it, they are all fine
hehehe

yep ne gelukkigu voor u and Madam ook he.

just wondering would it be enough an increase in size to make life at home a bit more comfortable (also the view) or is it just another "drip" on a hot plate?

My first guess is it depends on the lay out of the whole flat. In fact the one we lived in before was about 10% bigger than our actual home. But the actual one has more efficient surface and feels bigger than the former. Personally, the kitchen lay-out was an important criterium. So, your question is difficult to answer as there are more parameters involved than just surface. But yes, the view also is important as is the balcony, if any. From our place we can see the marina, a local village, Peng Chau, Lamma, HK island and IFC... in theory. Smog-haze most of the time allows us to see only the nearby moorings and Peng Chau

yeah i thought so.......its 1/2 the size of my current appartment more! not bad, finally get that extra room to do something while u at home. only i always see up against moving so much as its such lot of work......packing, unpacking etc.,.......all the address changes........yuck!

When I lived there, the kitchen sizes seemed more or less the same for the big or smaller flats. But you seem to have landed a good deal with the rent for the size and the view!

GdV> South Horizons(?): 987 Sq. ft sounds very reasonable for that price, specially with a sea view.
I remember when those were going for 23K inclusive back in '97 (yup, I had one for a while).
Me thinks the extra room would come in handy, even more so with a new baby in the family...

Rents are relative low right now, enjoy it while you can!

Hey GDV, when I worked in restaurants I had no time to sleep, let alone post on message boards. How do you manage it?

GdV, I would move, it makes sense to move. I also don't think the cost is to much for the price.

If you have got any problems with this site send them to Support@HKExpats.com Thanks
