any footie fans here?
Uefa seems to stick by the rules, as they should, but how is the FA going to get out of this? To me, it sounds pretty stupid if the Anfield outfit is not allowed to defend their title in the Champions League. On the other hand, Everton deservedly got that 4th spot so also to them it would be unfair not to let them even try getting into the CL.
But who's going to defend the FA Cup for England? Is there going to be a play-off between Newcastle and Blackburn ?? The 2 semi-final losers allowed into Europe anyway ?
I'd say: let A$$enal go to Uefa, they never get anywhere in the CL anyway [:D]

Well, rules are rules. Once you make ad hoc exceptions rules cease to have any meaning.
