OK - I am officially confused. I am used to the one full-on lips to cheek kiss for friends. I find here I have to choose between one full-on, one air, two air and three bl**dy air kisses. Can anyone tell me when these things are expected????? Personally, I am happy with a handshake or a hug. But this kissing business ... oy veh!

I can handle the air kisses, but I have a female coworker who kisses me on the lips = freaks me out. I have met her husband, so I am assuming there is no sexual intent (would make the imaginary boyfriend jealous), but yuch. She kisses his lips! yuch, spit, vomit! I think the two air kisses is the best option when in doubt - the middle ground.

What about the imaginary dog? Wouldn't she get jealous too?
You can always tell your coworker that you have herpes.

air kisses !!!! - very Ab Fab don't you think. I would have said the middle ground is 2 pecks on the cheeks - certainly for a man greeting another women (friend of wife normally)

My imaginary dog doesn't do that! Imagine what an imaginitive woman could do with that! Sorry - that might just be going too far.

Your average Dutchman expects 3 kisses (on the cheek). But none of this "airstuff"... [:X]

OK Gum Tree, I'd draw the line with other women and not tonguie them. So the adage, always a first time for everything...well...not in this case. [x2x][x2x] for you though! *soft chortle*

I have only ever heard of Dutchmen. I think they are like dwarves and there ain't any women. They just spontaneously generate, lol.

It's the only Dutch phrase I remember from my ex-boyfriend...who was a Dutch physiotherapist. And a good kisser.
