Looking for Mid-Levels apartment [ New Topic]

I need to find an apartment as soon as possible. I would like it to be in the Mid-levels area (caine road up to conduit road) and relatively close to the escalator. Looking to spend about 8K p/m. (I know its possible coz that what my last flat cost on Mosque Street and it was 420 sq/ft!!)

If anyone knows of any apartments going for circa that amount please let me know.
It would be good to arrange directly and without agents. Perhaps taking on someone's existing lease.

If the last flat was on Mosque Street: praying to Allah and asking Moh [PBUH] might be the start of a new miracle for the Catholic Church.

8 k for 420 sq ft........my fu^&%$ god......what are u akll doing, making landlords happy to rent a soap box?

im not ridiculing you, am not rich myself, cant spend 50 K on a flat myself, i rent for 7K only but have at least 800 sq FT. man why live there if you have to be cutting your bed in half?

as they think living in mid level makes them to special people. for 8k you can get about 1000sq.ft in gold coast, inclusive.....,
and there are many many other areas out there where you still get suitable sized apartments for small money....

CB,

If you are a single person with an active social life who only needs a place to sleep then 400 sq.ft could be enough... for me the convenience of being near the escalator and hence easy access to SoHo, LKF etc. (and a quick journey to and from the office in IFC) is worth a lot.

I can sub let a mid-levels apartment for 90,000/month... 2000+ sq/feet. You'll love it mate!
I couldn't fit my clothes in 400 sq/feet, how would you live?

FOTH 400 sq feet i bet you theres no space for you to turn around indside the bathroom, must go out first, turn around and then back in again.

I lived in a similar flat, also Caine road, brand new building, swimming pool and gym; extremely quiet and walking distance from office/lkf; crawling distance on the way back;
plenty of space, as long as you're alone (most of the time);

I was paying a bit less, 2-3 years ago that was

cookie, I had no problems turning around in the bathroom, maybe ....

err, thanks for all your contrubutions, especially you xpat-aussie. Lets see how i can squeeze 90K out of eight.!!!
my last apartment was just under 500 (I think 480 /90) , not 420 as i wrote, my mistake. Either way, its irrelevant to the point!

the question still stands.

And yes, i know that if i move to shatin and gold coast and north point etc, etc, etc i can get more room for my money. But i am asking about soho / mid-levels, so all those places don't really interest me right now.Thanks for the suggestions though.

Last flat husband lived in at midlevels was OK - and about that size since he lived alone. I am pretty sure the price was 7K at that time - 3 years ago. It was Fairwiew Heights on Seymour Road where it met another one ... Robinson or summat? Anyway, the landlord was good as were the staff there. May have changed, but it maybe is worth a visit. Two tiny bedrooms ...

400 Queens Road West, isn't exactly Mid-Levels. More like Kennedy Town.
