Hey people! Thanks for all the banter/advice (yeah that's ADVICE, not advise.... mustn't let the profession down eh?)
Maybe I should have mentioned that my lowly, grubby boyfriend has also lectured in Mechanics at college level.... but doesn't like teaching, hence the original post about finding work in said trade.
I have a better picture now of what isn't available, time to formulate a new plan I think :) And hey, ease up on Miss P... it's a pain having to be perfect All The Time. ;)
