I start work in Aberdeen next week, and im desperate to find a room not too far from the area for about 3000/-inclusive, are there any specific websites that might have a large listing?if not, how do ppl go about finding one here? there aren't alot around?

Actually you could get an apartment for not much more than that in Aberdeen, but it wouldn't be very nice.
For flatsharing, try the classifieds here, or the forum at www.gohome.com.hk.

Flatsharing is cheapy behaviour and therefore no things such as large listing anywhere. Aberdeen is one of the most ugly places in Hong Kong and not many poeple living there except some elderly fisherman and some backpacker teacher. I am sure you will like it.
