Hi, new forum member here. I'll be arriving in HK soon, and will be looking for a flat to rent in Discovery Bay. Are there any estate agents which anyone would recommend?
I have already looked at (ok, studied in detail until my eyes went square) all the websites I could find (Ka Man, Century 21 DB, GoHome and EPS DB).
waiting to follow the worms ...

DB EPS experience: no service whatsoever. As far as I heard from others, that's SOP for 75% of all agents anyway.

WS, who from EPS did you deal with. I have been dealing Alice for years and she is fantastic. Got into a barney with a LL and she really went to bat for me. Got me fantastic deals on other rentals. Now she is helping my property there.
Brom, you can contact her on 90329639
Tell her mic from China sent you.

Sorry MIC, my experience is 100% otherwise. Their lower staff finally turned out to be much MORE helpful than the one who was in charge and had us sign the deal... after the signing no more help whatsoever, on the contrary. I won't name the person but it surely was not like "in Wonderland". Maybe then it was just a one time blooper? Hard to believe though. And... for the attention of Bromgrev, never EVER trust an agent recommending a lawyer for the official details etc. regarding a property. BIGGGG mistake! We learned from that live experience also.

Exactly one of the problems. Every time we needed the agent she always was in China, or sailing.

brommie: if your rental budget is let's say 30k, tell them you're looking for something between 20-25k, they'll bring you straight to 30k properties and you save a few days looking at 40k flats
There are 10 kinds of people. Those who can read binary and those who don't

Anyway...no prob, as DB has lots of "agents". BTW... Geraldo hit nails on the head also regarding his above post, although I did't have that problem.

We will consume 85 million barrels of oil today, what's going to be left for tomorrow?
