Hi cats will be cats! they are fantastic but don't try and train them you will ruin there wonderful natural nature. yes they do hate water and your spray technique will probably work.
As for his balls they must go!!! (sorry guys)! As early as possible as males will wander early on.
he will use the scratch post but might take a while. enjoy

These comments are brought to you by the application of copious amounts of White Wine.

No animals were used in the making of this commercial !

Britney is a disease ridden pest and should be exterminated. How to do ?

If your cat is doing something you don't want - use a very deep voice (sounds like a growl) and say no! then pick him up and move him to his scratching post to show him what you do want him to do (basically interupt the inappropriate behaviour and then redirect to an appropriate behaviour that you can reinforce). If you use a lot of punishment - like the water pistol- your cat will learn to associate you with punishment and may not like you.

To stop them jumping on furniture - when you go out, make big loose balls of newspaper and put them on the furniture - it makes a a lot of noice and slips around if they try to jump on it - eventually they stop jumping.

Don't bath the cat, but do brush the cat as often as you can (my sister vacuums her cat and he loves it). You can also use nail clippers to keep their nails short .

And finally, believe it or not, you can toilet train your cat - to use the toilet I mean. They won't flush the toilet though. Lazy buggers!

what is wrong with bathing the cat?

My cat reached 18 and started to develop some excema and had to bathe her every few weeks. She fought a bit to start with but after she got the idea that she was going to be put in hot water etc, and scrubbed she would start to purr. She would still fight a bit. The first she did climb up the curtain though.

Having to put their fur in order is a real job for them. After a bath they tend to be really happy and look like fluff balls.

Every time I pick up some kitten on the street, the first thing I do it is bathe it. I put it under water except its nose to drown all the flees.

Vacuming the cat, that does sound incredible! Sounds like a good subject for a Youtube video.

Caution: this post contains content that might lead to unrealistic expectation in real relationships. keep out of reach of immature people.
