What screen resolution do you run at ?
(for anyone that doesn't know - right click on the 'desktop', select Properties from the menu and go to the 'Settings' tab. Half way down on the left.

It means i can get a feel for what resolution people run their PCs. Helps the design branstorming.

There is no perfect resolution, its down to what you need and what you computer can manage. The standard tends to be 1024 x 768.

I posted other cos I have one of these wide-screen laptops that runs 1280 x 800. My pc and server screen runs at 1280 x 1024 but I hardly use that so it doesn't count!!
Don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out and meet the bloody thing!

Mine is 1280 x 768 so I am the other 'other.'

That is a bit of an odd size, normally when you go up to that you would have 1280 x 1024, still if it makes you happy.

It doesn't make me happy or not, I don't know...yet.... until you guys tell me if there is an optimal size - does it have anything to do with the size of the screen?
Mine is a VAIO laptop, LCD, 10 and half inch.

wow - 1280x on a 10inch screen is impressive - you must have very good eyesight. I can only just about handle it on a 17inch monitor
