planning to come over next summer with family (2 kids) how worried should i be about the pollution - one of the kids is asthmatic and does suffer from allergies - we'll be staying hopefully in the Peak School Catchment - any advice?

Coming over in summer is hard on the body as it's soooooo hot and humid. You've probably gathered from the news that pollution is a serious problem like most of the world but some days are better than others. BTW, welcome to the site bluesky!

Depends where you are coming from bluesky. Hong Kong is better than where I came from in the UK with the added bonus that I get no hay-fever over here!

I hate to break this to you, but now until about February is the best time of year in Hong Kong (weatherwise).

I agree that HK during the cooler months is much better than the UK but not when the heat and humidty sets in.
