Hi
anyone got any tips on hotels in Hua Hin? really don't want somewhere too busy or noisy, must have a great pool, that I can get a sun bed at wityhout having to get up too early.
Been looking at the Sofitel, Hyatt, Marriott, Hilton. All look pretty good. Anyone have any others to recommend?
Thanks

What price range?
I stayed in a nice cheapy one just back from the beach on the main street. Quiet rooms set back in a courtyard, nice pool, not too busy. There are probably loads of places like that.

I don't think it's possible to find a noisey place in Hua Hin is it? I mean hotels that is. I found it so boring I could not wait to leave.

we stayed in both Supatra Hua Hin Resort (http://www.supatraresort.com/) and Evason (http://www.sixsenses.com/evason-huahin/) and had a great time there.
the first one is a boutique style hotel and it was so quiet and peaceful that we basically occupied the public pool (though not a big one) ourselves most of the time. we also stayed in a pool villa and got to have a huge bathroom with an amazing sunken bathtub with beautiful decor. though, it lacks of 5 stars hotel facilities if thats what you are after.
evason spa and resort in hua hin is the cheapest evason you can find among their group. make sure you get an upgrade and ask for an upstair room in the corner where you can have a huge private balcony with daybed and all that. brekkie there was very good.

USD$100-200 a night I guess.
Boring? I'm just hoping to relax, do nothing, read books, swim, watch the world go by.

You can do all that in Dongguan & it'll cost less. May I recommend Tangxia town? The Sunshine hotel has superb facilities including toilet, shower, bed and a beer shop around the corner next to the noodle shop. THey also have a shed load of hookers. Not that I know anything about what goes on in the KTV. Oh no.
Average by Intention.
