Say your spouse injured themselves and the injury required 13 stiches. 6 internal, 7 external. Say they were anit-medicine.
I'm bored, I'm pi*sy, and, I have no shame.

true he is an adult, he is responsible for his own actions and consequences.
on the other hand if you insist on mothering him.... instead of nagging him, just slip the antibiotics in his food or his beer.

Life - they actually have this campaign in Oz for men to take more responsibility for their own health. It is a group of men - doctors, nurses etc - who travel the country educating men about their own health. There is this pretend macho stuff that goes on with men and their health, but personally, I reckon it is just being scared. They just want to hide their heads in the sand and pretend there is nothing wrong. Maybe coz their moms always directed care.
In my case? Hubby, son and brothers - I just give advice when they want it but normally I go behind their backs and get mom-in-law or sisters or doctors to give the message for me. If they don't take it up - well, they are making their own choices and we all just have to live with it. Nothing more sooky than a sick adult male, btw. You have my sympathies.

Well guys thanks for all your input especially comments. I read everthing to the hubby, and hearing non-biased comments did more than anything I apparently could have said. Thanks again.
