admux: it fits to our expectations(other than Distance) We need 3-4 bed rooms, but the agents said no apartments in saikung with 3-4 bed rooms.

I have also heard it said that TC is the worst place to live as far as pollution goes. I have also heard that the construction of some of the developement blocks is shoddy, while some others are fine. I have heard the same thing about South Horizons - some blocks good, some blocks awful (thin walls, leaking pipes, blocked toilets etc.).
There's a website (can't remeber the name - I think Mango has posted links to it a few times) for finding property that often has a lot of comments from residents. Useful for determining which blocks are good / sh1te.
Does your son have to carry the seemingly obligatory 10kg rucksack on his trip to/from school each day?

there are loads of 3, 4 and 5 bedroom houses in Sai Kung...whats ur budget ?
I live in one... although it's not technically in Sai Kung

gt.. don't believe what the agent has told you.
Village houses in Sai Kung can easily have 3 - 4 bedrooms if it's the whole house
Depends on your budget of course. I would err more towards Clearwater bay if your budget allows as it's closer to the MTR system

Paps we were in Clear Water Bay for 3 years. Tho the environment was beautiful with a nice apartment, the distance was too much for my Hubby. Hence we shifted to kowloon side. Now we are more perticuler about Kowloon area perticularly around Kowloon Tong area. Tung Chung idea is almost gone! Not relly suitable distancewise.

GT.. well isn't KT nice ?? I know Rodders lives around there and he's a sophisticated lad. I like the look of KT with all the low rise mansion blocks..
Why not try there... also LT I know lives somewhere over that way up on a hill... Loady may be able to give some tips

Paps : Yes KT is very nice and infact we are in search for a suitable apartment near that area which most likely will work out!If its near that area, my son's heavy school bus fees can be avoided!
admux : can you please give me the approx idea for 3 bed room aprt. in Saikung?

mine is 20K (but not in Sai Kung) about 10mins to Choi Hung...
In Sai Kung expect to pay 20K to 50K depending on the area.... cheaper is off the beaten path... and more expensive is in a estate or beside the sea
