It is better to be a citizen of the world, home anywhere, free from place-bound national/cultural loyalties.

If everyone had the same skin colour,, hair texture, facial features then maybe. But as long as differences which can be viewed as negative by some and positive by others (hair colour), then the concept can never be applied. By the way, do the corners of this new world stretch past the middle east?
To have such a wonderful world, you would have to stamp out poverty and injustice. You would have to strip everyone of their rights, to create equality. There would be no competition, and the world would come to a grinding halt.
