Family Matters Babies: A long way from home so you need kindred spirits to help you through.. Kids: Half-Term, Summer Holidays or simply a wet and windy (but not cold!!) weekend. What are the options....we're all in this together so let's share the intelligence. School: Whether it's your toddler going to a nursery or your teenager selecting his O-Levels. Luckily Hong Kong is full of VERY good education options so there is plenty to talk about. Pop in and get some education..

Default kids who repeatedly and on purpose fail in school - 18th January 2010

would you keep giving chances and keep pushing?

I am thinking of saying......right thats the end of it, am not paying 12 k a month anymore.....just get off school and start working. oh and by the way son realize very well that when you work you can forget about fun with class mates as they all study when you work!

what would you do when it ends up to this ultimatum......?

erh there has to be a situation where we come together

he finally accepted to go for a lower level, change school but was told in order to get in he has to still finish this year normally.

his year project has had nothing done to it since November, nothing at all......3 meetings missed.....all covered up.......

we walk from one educational disaster into the next one....

Chances are the one in question will simply go "Do this when you and mom are alone *snicker*...."

Fair enough, a good bootcamp experience might set him straight.

If school he hates, ask the principal if he could do a 2 week sympatico and you and I might drum up something so diabolical (ie doing dishes in one the filthiest from the filthy acres???) that will make school seem like a walk in a park...

Seriously, another route is that I take him to one of my regular hangouts and make sure how he gets shot down by those snobby biatches just to show him how a decent education will make him a welcome member in ANY community..
